If you’ve been a listener of The Vine Podcast for a while, you may have noticed things have been a little quiet around here lately. No new episodes for about three months, and if you’re anything like the friend who reached out to check in recently, you might have been wondering what was going on.

So today I’m pulling back the curtain and sharing exactly what has been keeping me busy, why the podcast took a backseat, and most importantly — what is coming next. And don’t worry, the podcast isn’t going anywhere. But things are changing, and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

It’s Been a Full Season — In the Best Way

The honest answer for why things have been quiet is simply this: life has been genuinely, head-down busy. And for the most part, it has been a really good kind of busy.

At Grace & Vine Studios, we have had one of our heaviest client loads to date. Branding intensives, semi-custom websites, and a schedule that is already booked into late quarter two — which is something I am incredibly grateful for. These seasons where we are booked out and moving forward are so good for my team, my business, and honestly, for the health of our industry as a whole.

On top of our regular client work, we also said yes to a couple of really exciting projects outside of our usual food blogger niche. One is a directory for Christian entrepreneurs that my best friend is launching — a project that has been so fun and creative to be part of. The other is an upcoming sauce brand, which brings a whole new set of goals and creative challenges that we have been loving.

These kinds of projects are ones we are really selective and intentional about saying yes to, because when we step outside of our food blogging lane, it requires a different kind of attention and more of my direct involvement. But when the right project comes along, it is absolutely worth it.

And on a personal note, January and February were also incredibly full months for our family. Between travel, homeschooling, regular activities, and everything else life brings, the extra energy just was not there. Something had to give, and for a season, the podcast was that thing.

The Real Reason for the Pause

Here is something I want to be really honest about, because I think a lot of you will relate to this.

It wasn’t just the busyness that kept me from recording. If you have ever had something on your to-do list that you kept pushing to next week and the week after that, you probably know the feeling I am talking about — that extreme resistance towards something even when you know it is good and worthwhile.

For me, that resistance was coming from somewhere specific. I knew the podcast was shifting, and instead of leaning into that shift, I kept trying to move forward with the old version of it. I was recording content that I knew was going to look completely different in a few months, and it felt disconnected and honestly a little pointless.

So I finally gave myself permission to stop. To take a real pause and wait until I could move forward with intention. And honestly? It was the right call.

What Is Coming Next

Here is the part I am genuinely so excited to share.

We are launching a YouTube channel for Grace & Vine Studios.

This is something we have been talking about internally for probably two years now. And after seeing it come up everywhere — in my food blogging communities, in my business spaces, in conversations with friends — I finally decided to stop waiting until I had all the answers and just say yes.

Starting in the next few weeks, we will be publishing weekly videos on YouTube covering the same kinds of topics you know and love from the podcast — web design tips, branding strategy, industry updates, behind-the-scenes looks at running a design studio, and everything in between.

We will be taking a fresh look at our most popular content and recording brand new videos with those topics in mind. Not just republishing old episodes, but truly approaching them with new energy and a new perspective.

What This Means for Podcast Listeners

If you are a podcast listener, here is the good news — not much is changing for you.

When it makes sense, we will be publishing the audio version of our YouTube videos right here in your regular podcast feed. You will also be able to toggle on the video version within podcast apps like Spotify and Apple Podcasts if you want that experience. And of course, you can always head over to YouTube to watch there as well.

There will be some episodes — particularly tutorials and more visual content — that will live exclusively on YouTube, simply because the visuals are needed to make them useful. But for the most part, you will still be able to tune in however you prefer.

What I think is going to change most is the consistency and intentionality of how I show up. Shifting to YouTube is not a sign that the podcast was not working — it is a sign that I think there is a better, more energized way to serve you and grow this community at the same time.

A Note of Gratitude

If you have been a listener since the early days of this podcast back in 2019, I want you to know how much that means to me. Getting to record over 200 episodes, interview some of the biggest experts in our industry, and connect with so many of you in real life at events like Tastemaker and Flavor Media Summit — it has been one of the most rewarding parts of running this business.

And I genuinely believe the best is still ahead.

So if you have not already, I would love for you to go subscribe to our YouTube channel at Grace & Vine so you are the first to know when our new videos drop. Your support over there means the world, and I cannot wait for you to see what we have been working on.

Here is to new seasons, new experiments, and showing up in new ways. Talk soon, friends.

hey friend, i’m madison

Food blogger turned web designer

I’ve been where you are. Growing fast, feeling overwhelmed by the tech side of things, and realizing that somewhere between hitting 100k sessions and launching that new revenue stream, the foundations of your business got left behind.

I started out as a food blogger, so I get it. The constant juggling. The feeling that your site doesn’t match who you’ve become. The frustration of working way too hard while your brand and tech hold you back.

That’s why I created Grace + Vine Studios—to help monetized food bloggers like you finally catch up. Whether it’s your branding, your website, or just figuring out what the heck comes next, I’m here to help you build a business that reflects where you are now and actually improves your life instead of consuming it.
