Glenda came to us knowing exactly what she wanted her readers to feel when they landed on her site. Warm. Welcome. At home. But her website hadn’t seen a major update since 2019, and the design just wasn’t reflecting the quality of the content she had spent years creating at Making Homemade Easy.

She described her vision as something homey and inviting, with clean lines, intentional white space, and color that naturally draws the eye through each page. She wanted her blog to feel contemporary without losing the warmth that her readers already loved.

This is a series of posts to show off our amazing clients and the projects we have been able to work on with them. You can check out all of the client launches here.

Custom brand design for food blog: Making Homemade Easy by Glenda Embree

Project details: Brand Strategy & Logo Design | Crafted Website Design | Digital Product Strategy & Design

We started with our Branding Intensive to make sure the heart of her business was clearly defined before a single design decision was made. Through an audience deep dive and branding strategy session, we helped Glenda articulate who she’s cooking for and what makes her corner of the internet worth coming back to. From there, we built out a logo and cohesive brand identity that finally matched the experience she was creating in the kitchen.

Then came Crafted. Using a Kadence child theme with custom blocks and block patterns designed specifically for her brand, we rebuilt her homepage, category pages, recipe index, and about page with both her readers and search engines in mind. The result is a site that feels distinctly Glenda, loads fast, and gives her new visitors a reason to stick around.

She no longer has to apologize for sending people to her website. It looks like the real, thriving food blog it has always been.

hey friend, i’m madison

Food blogger turned web designer

I’ve been where you are. Growing fast, feeling overwhelmed by the tech side of things, and realizing that somewhere between hitting 100k sessions and launching that new revenue stream, the foundations of your business got left behind.

I started out as a food blogger, so I get it. The constant juggling. The feeling that your site doesn’t match who you’ve become. The frustration of working way too hard while your brand and tech hold you back.

That’s why I created Grace + Vine Studios—to help monetized food bloggers like you finally catch up. Whether it’s your branding, your website, or just figuring out what the heck comes next, I’m here to help you build a business that reflects where you are now and actually improves your life instead of consuming it.
