Web Developer
We are seeking a part-time, skilled web developer to join our team of experts and contribute to our website builds, custom theme development, and client support.
Responsibilities:
Developer for “Crafted” semi-custom websites:
- Develop custom header and footer using Kadence child theme.
- Maintain consistent styling throughout major website pages based on style guide.
Custom Website Development:
- Build custom block-based Kadence themes for bloggers and publishers that validate Core Web Vitals, are developed with WordPress best practices, and meet accessibility standards
- Build complete sites using WordPress patterns and blocks to ensure ease of use for our clients
- Custom code elements outside of blocks using JS, CSS or PHP. We are big fans of Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Develop projects with near pixel accuracy and responsive design
- Communicate and manage project deadlines
Client Support:
- Support past clients with additional projects as needed, completing small development projects in a timely and accurate manner
- Meet or exceeding deadlines for small projects.
- Communicate with team on progress (no direct client communication).
- Review for accuracy before passing off tasks
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Experience with Genesis or Kadence themes
- Robust understanding of the WordPress update procedures, web hosting management, and SFTP utilization
- Proficiency in WordPress development and best practices
- Ability to work independently and manage project deadlines effectively
- Exceptional WordPress Proficiency (at minimum “advanced,” ideally “expert-level”)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
