Taryn from Hot Pan Kitchen came to us with a problem that so many established bloggers face: her brand hadn’t evolved with her business.
When she reached out, she was honest with us. “My logo and colors are the same as when I started out in 2017, and they just don’t feel representative of where my brand is currently.”
And we get it—when you’re in the thick of running a food blog, creating content, managing partnerships, and growing your audience, updating your branding can feel like something you’ll get to “someday.”
But for Taryn, that disconnect between her visual identity and her actual content was becoming a real problem.

This is a series of posts showing off our amazing clients and the projects we have been able to work on with them! You can check out all of the client launches here.
Custom brand design for food blog: Hot Pan Kitchen

Project details: Brand Strategy & Logo Design | Digital Product Strategy & Design
When Taryn first started Hot Pan Kitchen, it was a gluten-free blog. But over the years, her content had completely morphed. She’d become known for grilling-centric recipes and grilling-adjacent content. Her recipes were still gluten-free, but that wasn’t the heart of her brand anymore.
Her visual identity, though? Still stuck in 2017. Still screaming “gluten-free blog” when her content was all about helping people master the grill.
She told us exactly what she needed: “I want my new brand to feel representative of that and be more confidence-inspiring—not bold, but self-assured.”
Through our 3-day Branding Intensive, we worked with Taryn to create a complete brand transformation that finally matched who she’d become.
We started with an audience deep dive to understand who she was really serving now—grill enthusiasts who happened to need gluten-free options, not gluten-free seekers who might occasionally grill.
Then we developed a brand strategy and visual identity that positioned her as the grilling expert she’d become. The new logo, color palette, and overall aesthetic felt confident, approachable, and perfectly aligned with her grilling-focused content.

Now when people land on Hot Pan Kitchen, they immediately understand what she’s about. It’s not just another gluten-free blog lost in a sea of dietary restriction sites. It’s THE place for people who love to grill and want recipes that happen to be gluten-free too.
Taryn finally has a brand that reflects the expert she’s become—and it only took 3 days!

If your brand hasn’t evolved with your blog, you don’t have to wait another year to fix it. Our Branding Intensive gives you the clarity, strategy, and visual identity you’ve been dreaming of—without the months-long timeline of a full rebrand.

hey friend, i’m madison
Food blogger turned web designer
I’ve been where you are. Growing fast, feeling overwhelmed by the tech side of things, and realizing that somewhere between hitting 100k sessions and launching that new revenue stream, the foundations of your business got left behind.
I started out as a food blogger, so I get it. The constant juggling. The feeling that your site doesn’t match who you’ve become. The frustration of working way too hard while your brand and tech hold you back.
That’s why I created Grace + Vine Studios—to help monetized food bloggers like you finally catch up. Whether it’s your branding, your website, or just figuring out what the heck comes next, I’m here to help you build a business that reflects where you are now and actually improves your life instead of consuming it.
